Quality Assurance Inspector
Quality Control Inspector, 2nd shift manufacturing role in Chesterfield, MI, 1-3 years' experience, in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, precision measurement tools, PPAP documentation.

Develops and manages activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for manufacturing processes and materials by performing the following duties.

Shift: 2nd Shift, Flexible shift- schedule varies based on business needs.
Work Location: Chesterfield, MI
Key Responsibilities
Ability to read prints and interrupt GDT requirements.
Ability to use micrometers, calipers, optical comparator, etc.
Ability to set-up and use special gaging.
Perform 1st piece inspections for heading and threading departments.
Ability to perform final inspection and fill out history cards.
Ability to complete floor inspections.
Ability to use cut-off saw and prepare samples for testing.
Ability to use computer programs, attend meetings when needed
Complete PPAPs when required to do so.
Perform gage R&R studies, capability studies, hardness, tensile and torque testing.
Ability to mix chemicals for grain flow.
Perform grain flow testing, Perform raw material evaluations.
Work with customer and suppliers when needed.
Create or update travelers, Perform monthly doc audits.
Develops history cards based off the Control Plans for the inspection, testing, and evaluation of product.
Administers the disposition and maintenance of discrepant materials including the generation of Repair Shop Orders and the identification of appropriate methods for evaluation and/or testing.
Evaluates incoming material, heat treat, and plating certifications for conformance to applicable specifications and maintains necessary certification records in the company business/ERP system.
Conducts routine calibration of gages and measuring instruments according to the established calibration schedule.
Maintains applicable quality related documents in company business/ERP system.
Other duties may be assigned or required for this position.
