Position Type: Hourly, Full Time
Work Hours: Swing Shift (6AM-6PM or 6PM-6AM on a rotation)
Pay Range: $18.00 - $20.00/hour, depending on experience o Plus, $2.00/hour shift premium
Work Location: Metform -Hotform (7034 IL Rt 84 in Savanna, IL)
Reports To: Production Supervisor
Key Responsibilities:
Operate heat-treating equipment including furnaces, ovens, and quenching systems.
Load and unload materials or parts into designated fixtures or trays for heat treating processes.
Oversee and adjust heat treating settings, including temperature, cycle times, and atmosphere, to meet required specifications.
Inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards, including hardness, tempering, and other metallurgical properties.
Read and interpret, blueprints, work instructions and technical specifications.
Perform basic maintenance and calibration on equipment to ensure optimal performance. • Continually look to improve processes and procedures.
Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies
Basic mechanical skills and an understanding of heat treatment processes and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret, blueprints, work instructions and technical specifications.
Attention to detail
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Machine operation
Precision measurement
Problem solving
Product specification Qualifications (Required)
Education: High School Qualifications (Preferred)
Certifications: Powered Industrial Equipment Certification.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up-to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Required to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to push/pull objects up-to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending and stooping required.
Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
Must be able to work in noisy environments.
Exposure to high temperatures, loud noise, and industrial chemicals.
