The Manual Quality Sorter is responsible for manual sorting, inspection, and packaging of fastener products. This role ensures all products meet customer specifications, internal quality standards, and safety requirements while supporting daily production targets.
Job Details
Position Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Work Location: 23400 Haggerty Rd, Farmington Hills, MI 48335
Shift: 1st (7 AM – 3 PM)
Pay Range: $18-20 per hour (depending on skills and experience)
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and manually sort fastener products based on customer and internal specifications.
Identify and separate non-conforming or defective parts.
Perform basic measurements using gauges, calipers, or other inspection tools.
Follow standardized work instructions, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Package and label products according to requirements.
Record inspection and production data accurately.
Communicate quality issues and support corrective actions.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Skills/Competencies
Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
Ability to maintain consistency in repetitive work.
Problem identification and basic troubleshooting.
Effective communication with team members and supervisors.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Qualifications (Required)
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to follow written and verbal work instructions.
Basic computer skills for data entry.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy.
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Qualifications (Preferred)
Previous manufacturing, sorting, or inspection experience.
Experience using measuring tools such as calipers or gauges.
Exposure to automotive or fastener manufacturing environments.
Familiarity with quality standards and inspection processes.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Ability to lift, bend, and perform repetitive motions.
Manual dexterity to handle small parts.
