Role Summary
The IT ERP Business Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation, analysis, and continuous improvement of the organization’s ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. This entry-level role involves assessing functional requirements, assisting in the installation of ERP technologies, and providing support to ensure cross-functional access to ERP systems. The Analyst will work closely with consultants, vendors, and internal teams to align business processes with ERP modules and deliver essential training to end users.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and document functional requirements, collaborating with departments to ensure that ERP technology meets business needs
Initiate and assist in ERP technology installations, supporting integration to align interdepartmental processes with ERP modules
Work closely with consultants, vendors, and IT specialists to facilitate ERP system configuration, testing, and installation
Ensure cross-functional access to ERP systems by mapping business processes to ERP modules
Administer user acceptance testing (UAT) to verify system functionality and data accuracy, providing feedback for adjustments as needed
Possess foundational knowledge of ERP languages and coordinate with programmers and other specialists on file design, testing, debugging, storage, and access
Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical teams, facilitating clear communication to address ERP system-related inquiries
Develop, document, and deliver training materials to end users, ensuring they are well-equipped to use ERP systems effectively
Provide initial system support following implementation, addressing basic issues and escalating more complex ones to senior staff
Complete all required documentation accurately and thoroughly, maintaining clear records of installations, configurations, and training
Adhere to 5S standards to maintain an organized workspace, supporting a productive and efficient work environment
Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
Perform other duties as assigned to support ERP system functionality and continuous improvement
Qualifications Required
Education: Bachelor's
Experience: 0 to 2 years of experience in ERP systems, business analysis, or a related area, demonstrating an understanding of ERP implementation and support
Travel - up to 75% and ideal candidate will live near a major Midwest airport.
