Accountant

Role Summary
The Accountant is responsible for supporting general accounting, financial reporting, and analysis activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. This role involves managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, as well as maintaining the general ledger and preparing financial reports. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to support audits, budgeting, and process improvement initiatives while adhering to accounting standards and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing of transactions.
Assist in maintaining the general ledger and related accounting records, ensuring alignment with accounting principles and organizational policies.
Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, bank accounts, and other financial data, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
Prepare accurate financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings effectively.
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing insights into financial performance and trends.
Track and analyze expenses, ensuring alignment with budget goals and identifying areas for cost control and optimization.
Identify opportunities for process optimization within the accounting function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Leverage accounting software and ERP systems to streamline workflows and improve data accuracy and reporting capabilities.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications (Required)
Education: Bachelor's
Experience: 2-4 years of accounting experience
Qualifications (Preferred)
Certifications: CPA, CMA, or another related certification.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
