A Production Material Handler, Lead 1, oversees and coordinate activities within the designated work area, ensuring efficient and organized material handling processes. This role involves directing team efforts, optimizing workflow, and maintaining safety standards. With a focus on efficiency and accuracy, this position plays a critical role in supporting production operations and ensuring timely material availability for seamless manufacturing processes.

Position Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Work Location: Onsite – Mundelein, IL 60060
Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:30 AM
Payrate: $32 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex tasks related to equipment set-up, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
Assist in the operation of machinery within the designated department as needed, ensuring smooth production flow.
Conduct thorough inspections of materials, final products, and machinery to identify and address defects promptly.
Utilize JDE, RFS, and RF technology for efficient inventory movement transactions and product shipping.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
Ensure departmental output consistently meets organizational standards and expectations.
Provide direction to the manufacturing and operations team in interpreting existing processes and policies, while assisting in the development of efficiencies and process improvements.
Foster a positive work environment by guiding team members in their professional growth, providing constructive feedback, and addressing performance issues as necessary to support overall team success.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required:
Education:
Experience: 4 to 6 years of experience.
Certifications/Licenses:
Competencies/Skills
Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
Ability to follow and convey directions clearly.
Intermediate mathematical skills.
Intermediate use of required gaging instruments and the application of such instruments.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to lead.
