Job Summary
MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Maintenance Technician at our Buffalo, New York manufacturing facility. In this role, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production machinery, equipment, and support systems across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This position supports 2nd and 3rd shift operations and offers continued development through the maintenance training program.

Work Arrangement: On-site
Schedule: 2nd or 3rd Shift
Pay: $26.88/hour
Other Compensation: 5% shift differential for 2nd Shift; 6% shift differential for 3rd Shift
Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required.
What You'll Do as a Maintenance Technician
Maintain a safe, clean work area in accordance with 6S standards and report unusual or unsafe conditions to your supervisor.
Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and component drawings to complete repairs with minimal guidance.
Safely start, stop, and shut down production machinery, equipment, and support systems as needed to perform maintenance work.
Maintain and repair production machinery and equipment, including basic electrical and hydraulic repairs, clutch and bearing repairs, and basic gas and electric welding. Perform more advanced repairs with guidance.
Diagnose machine malfunctions, identify equipment, material, and tooling problems, and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
Build and modify part chutes and support building and grounds maintenance, including seasonal outdoor work such as debris removal, snow removal, and salting.
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate effectively across shifts and departments, including Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance. Follow applicable Quality Management System procedures and work instructions and use Visual Factory and JIRA as required.
Provide orientation support when requested by your supervisor and contribute to effective coordination across the maintenance team.

Required Qualifications
Ability to use shop math appropriate for industrial maintenance work.
Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical schematics and component drawings.
Working knowledge of common tools used in industrial maintenance and repair.
Basic electrical and hydraulic repair skills, with the ability to perform more advanced work with guidance.
Basic gas and electric welding skills.
Ability to perform clutch and bearing repairs.
Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose production equipment and machine malfunctions with guidance.
Ability to maintain clear documentation and communicate effectively across shifts and departments.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role involves hands-on maintenance and repair of production machinery, equipment, and support systems within a manufacturing facility. Work may include electrical and hydraulic repair, welding, clutch and bearing repair, fabrication or modification of part chutes, and building and grounds maintenance.
The position also includes seasonal outdoor responsibilities such as sweeping, removing trash, debris and leaves, clearing snow using a snow plow, snow blower or shovel, and applying salt.
