Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring CNC Operators at our Plymouth, Michigan manufacturing facility. In this role, you will operate assigned CNC machines, monitor product quality, complete inspections, and support safe, efficient production across multiple shifts.

• Location: Plymouth, MI

• Work Arrangement: On-site

• Schedule: Multiple shifts available, Monday-Friday: 1st Shift, 5:45 AM-2:00 PM; 2nd Shift, 1:45 PM-10:00 PM; 3rd Shift, 9:45 PM-6:00 AM

• Pay: $18.50-$21/hour

• Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

• Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs.

What You'll Do as a CNC Operator

• Operate assigned CNC machines independently for standard production runs.

• Monitor machine operation to maintain steady workflow and product quality.

• Perform basic troubleshooting of machine stoppages, alarms, and other minor issues.

• Assist with machine setups, adjustments, and part changeovers under guidance.

• Use basic measurement tools, including calipers, gauges, and micrometers, to verify part dimensions.

• Complete first-piece and in-process inspections as required.

• Accurately complete production logs, inspection sheets, and job documentation.

• Follow safety, environmental, and quality requirements while maintaining machine cleanliness and performing basic preventive-care tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to operate assigned CNC equipment with general supervision and follow established production processes.

• Ability to use basic measurement tools to verify part dimensions.

• Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and assist with machine setups and part changeovers.

• Ability to accurately complete inspection and production documentation.

• Ability to follow established safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• This role involves standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods.

• Employees in this role frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.

• The position requires manual dexterity for machine controls and part handling.

• Visual acuity is required for dimensional inspection and reading machine displays.

• The work takes place in a manufacturing environment that may include noise, oil, and vibration.

• Consistent use of required personal protective equipment is required.
