Job Summary
MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Forming Operator - 3rd Shift at our Saegertown, Pennsylvania manufacturing facility. In this entry-level production role, you will operate and monitor forming equipment, perform routine quality checks, and support safe, efficient production while developing foundational manufacturing skills.
Location: Saegertown, PA
Work Arrangement: On-site
Schedule: 3rd Shift, Sunday-Thursday, 9:00 PM-7:00 AM
Pay: $20/hour
Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly
Overtime: Occasional overtime may be required.
What You'll Do as a Forming Operator
Operate and monitor forming equipment according to established work instructions and supervisor guidance.
Assist with basic machine setup, adjustments, and changeovers as directed.
Load raw materials, including wire, bar, or other forming stock, into machines and maintain proper material flow.
Perform routine in-process inspections using gauges and measuring devices, identify non-conforming material, and communicate quality concerns promptly.
Monitor equipment during operation and notify your supervisor of abnormalities, jams, or other operating concerns.
Complete required production documentation, including scrap reporting and production tracking.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and machine-guarding requirements.
Support material handling, packaging, labeling, preventive maintenance, continuous improvement, and training activities as directed.

Required Qualifications
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Basic math skills and the ability to use simple measuring tools.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment under direct supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous manufacturing or production experience, up to two years, is preferred but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role involves standing for extended periods during the shift.
Employees in this role frequently bend, stoop, reach, and walk.
The position requires lifting and carrying 35-50 pounds as required.
The manufacturing environment may include exposure to noise, heat, oil, and moving machinery.
Manual dexterity is required to operate equipment and use measuring tools.
Visual acuity is required to inspect parts and read production documentation.
