Join Mallard Manufacturing, a MacLean-Fogg Company, as a Production Lead and take a hands-on leadership role in driving daily manufacturing performance. You will guide production teams, support equipment reliability, and uphold the quality and safety standards that keep our operations running at a high level. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, solving problems on the floor, and helping team members grow and succeed.
Job Details
Position Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Pay Range: $24.24–$26.50 per hour (based on skills and experience)
Work Location: Onsite – Sterling, IL 61081 (Building 2)
Shift: 2:30 pm -11:30 pm
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate daily shift activities to ensure production goals are met safely and efficiently.
Perform equipment setup, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting to resolve technical and quality issues.
Assist with machinery operation to maintain consistent production flow.
Complete production records and required documentation accurately and on time.
Maintain clear communication across shifts and with management to ensure continuity.
Reassign team members as needed to support workflow, coverage, and changing production demands.
Inspect materials, products, and equipment to verify compliance with quality standards.
Champion process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
Coach team members on processes, policies, and performance expectations.
Assist with data collection and reporting for key production metrics.
Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications (Required)
High School Diploma or GED
4+ years of manufacturing experience, including operating powered industrial equipment
Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage complex issues
Comprehensive working knowledge of production processes and equipment
Experience providing leadership, coaching, or mentoring to a production team
