Job Details
Position Type: Full-Time, Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Pay Rate: $20.09/hour + $2.50/hour shift differential
Location: Mundelein, Illinois (Onsite)
Shift Hours: 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM (Second Shift, Monday–Friday). Monday–Friday. Training will take place on First Shift for approximately 4–6 weeks. Training hours are 4:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
Key Responsibilities
Run screw machines and related equipment in a safe, efficient, and consistent manner.
Inspect parts as they’re made to ensure they meet quality and size standards.
Make basic adjustments and troubleshoot issues to keep machines running.
Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to check part accuracy.
Follow blueprints and work instructions (we’ll train you).
Assist with setting up machines when needed.
Complete simple paperwork to track production and quality.
Keep your work area clean and organized.
Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies.
Pitch in with other tasks to help your team meet goals.
Skills/Competencies
Comfortable working with machines and tools
Able to read instructions and follow directions
Good with numbers and measurements
Focused on doing the job right the first time
Familiar with precision tools (or willing to learn)
Attention to detail and pride in your work
Qualifications (Required)
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience: No prior machine operation experience required – we’ll train you.
Willingness to follow directions and ask questions when unsure
Must pass a blueprint reading test and a mechanical aptitude test
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
Required to stand for extended periods.
Must be able to push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
Frequent bending and stooping required.
Must have the dexterity to handle small objects.
Must be able to work in noisy environments.
