The Operator 1, CNC is responsible for operating assigned CNC machinery, ensuring efficient production and adherence to safety and quality standards. This role involves monitoring equipment performance, performing routine maintenance and adjustments, and verifying that finished products meet precise specifications. The Operator 1, CNC also plays a key role in supporting continuous production flow while maintaining a focus on safety and operational excellence.

Position Type: Full-Time / Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Pay Range: $18.00 per hour
Work Location: Onsite – Saegertown, PA
Shift: All shifts available
Shift 1: 7:00am – 3:00pm
Shift 2: 3:00pm – 11:00pm
Shift 3: 11:00pm – 7:00am
Key Responsibilities:
Operate assigned CNC machinery with a focus on maintaining production schedules, ensuring optimal machine performance, and meeting safety standards.
Ensure all produced items meet strict quality control requirements, conducting regular checks and inspections to maintain product specifications and quality standards.
Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to equipment, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure continuous production flow.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, understanding specifications to ensure accurate setup and machining of parts to required tolerances.
Utilize basic measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet precise requirements.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies:
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work with high-speed manufacturing equipment.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions and part drawings.
Documentation.
Basic math skills.
Attention to detail, safety, and quality standards.
Effective verbal communication and teamwork skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical production environment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to push/pull objects up to 30 pounds.
Must have the dexterity to handle small objects. Must be able to work in noisy environments.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
Previous machine operation experience strongly preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Demonstrated work history with steady employment and minimal gaps.
Proven reliability and punctuality to support production schedules.
