Role Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will play a key role in managing day-to-day HR operations across the organization, specifically overseeing all hiring functions for plant operations and supporting broader HR initiatives. The Generalist will collaborate closely with the HR Manager or Director to implement HR strategies, manage employee relations, and ensure compliance with employment laws. This role will also contribute to benefits administration and employee development efforts, helping to foster a positive, productive work environment.

Pay Range: $60,000year – $67,000/year, depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
Assist with all plant hiring functions, including job postings, applicant screening, interviews, and selection.
Assist with the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires by coordinating orientation sessions and ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
Serve as a key contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance on company policies and addressing employee relations issues.
Mediate conflicts and facilitate effective communication between employees and management.
Assist managers with performance management, including performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions as needed.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Dayforce, ensuring compliance with all internal policies and legal requirements.
Assist in benefits administration, including open enrollment periods and ongoing employee support for benefits-related queries.
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal employment laws, helping to mitigate legal risks.
Assist the HR Manager or Director in implementing employee engagement initiatives, including wellness programs, recognition events, and team-building activities.
Oversee the summer internship and high school scholarship programs.
Collaborate with the HR team on special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other HR duties as assigned, ensuring alignment with the overall goals and objectives of the HR department.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
Ability to build strong relationships, handle sensitive employee issues, and maintain confidentiality.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address employee concerns quickly and professionally.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of HR practices, including recruitment, benefits administration, and employee relations.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail, especially when handling HR documentation and employee data.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost care and professionalism.
Qualifications (Required)
Education: Typically Requires BA
Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an HR generalist role, with a specific focus on recruitment, employee relations, and compliance.
Hands-on experience with Dayforce or other HRIS systems is required.
Strong understanding of employment laws, HR policies, and benefits administration
