Role Summary
The Accounting Representative 2 is responsible for performing various accounting and clerical tasks to support the company’s finance operations. This role will handle accounts receivable and other financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail. The Accounting Representative 2 reports to the Controller and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Process accounts receivables ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and procedures. Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries, maintaining thorough documentation.
Assist in month-end and year-end financial closings, including account reconciliations and variance analysis.
Monitor, track, and resolve discrepancies in financial records, invoices, and statements.
Prepare and maintain detailed financial records and reports to support the accounting department.
Support the Controller in other financial analysis.
Communicate with internal departments and external customers to clarify payment details and resolve account issues.
Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
This position will support accounts payable as needed.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills/Competencies
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Dayforce or Oracle) and Excel and Word.
Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
Experience with ERP systems.
Knowledge of industry-specific accounting practices and compliance requirements.
Qualifications (Required)
Education: Associate Degree
Experience: 5+ years of manufacturing accounting experience.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
