Role Summary
The Engineering Analyst is responsible for ensuring the effective execution of materials, design, and technology projects by analyzing engineering data, supporting project management processes, and acting as a liaison between engineering and other functional areas. This role involves administering engineering systems, ensuring adherence to project management methodologies, and providing necessary training and documentation to ensure smooth system integration and operation.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the key point of contact between the engineering team and other functional departments (e.g., manufacturing, quality, procurement) to facilitate communication and coordination regarding engineering systems and project requirements
Ensure alignment between engineering processes and other business functions, supporting the integration of engineering systems across departments
Manage and administer key engineering systems such as JDE, Vault, and other relevant tools to ensure proper function and seamless operations
Ensure proper data entry, system configuration, and user access management for engineering systems, maintaining high accuracy and reliability
Ensure compliance with Stage Gate/Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) project management processes, ensuring all elements of the Integrated Management System (ISO) are incorporated in the approval and execution phases of projects
Track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring that engineering projects remain on schedule and within scope
Provide training and user support for engineering systems to ensure that all team members are proficient in system tools and processes
Develop and maintain user documentation and procedural guides for engineering systems to ensure consistency and clarity in system usage across teams
Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintaining a clean and organized work area) and ensure engineering processes comply with Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies
Ensure that all engineering documentation, reports, and deliverables are complete, accurate, and properly archived in accordance with ISO and company standards
Identify opportunities for process improvements within engineering systems and workflows, providing solutions to optimize efficiency and effectiveness
Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues related to project execution, system functionality, and cross-functional collaboration
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required
Education: Bachelor's
Experience: Minimum of 0-2 years of experience in an engineering, project management, or related analytical role.
Competencies/Skills
Intermediate verbal & written communication skills
Proficient in using engineering systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools (e.g., JDE), and data management platforms (e.g., Vault), as well as Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Basic knowledge of project management methodologies, with a focus on Stage Gate, APQP, and ISO processes
Strong organizational and planning skills to ensure smooth execution of projects and timely delivery of tasks
Ability to identify issues, analyze root causes, and propose solutions in a methodical manner
Knowledge of risk-based thinking, with the ability to assess potential risks and implement strategies to mitigate them.
