Job Summary
MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Senior Maintenance Technician for 1st Shift at our Richmond, Illinois manufacturing facility. You will diagnose complex equipment issues, lead major repairs and reliability projects, and develop other maintenance technicians.

Pay: $30/hour

What You'll Do as a Senior Maintenance Technician
Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment issues.
Plan, coordinate, and complete major equipment repairs, rebuilds, and installations.
Lead root cause analyses for recurring equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Partner with engineering and operations to improve equipment design, reliability, and efficiency.
Develop standard operating procedures, preventive maintenance practices, and long-term maintenance strategies.
Train, mentor, and certify Level 1 and Level 2 maintenance technicians.
Manage contractors and vendors performing specialized maintenance work.
Lead continuous improvement projects that increase uptime, reduce costs, and strengthen safety while maintaining compliance with safety, environmental, and quality requirements.
What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
At least five years of maintenance or skilled-trade experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise across multiple technical disciplines, such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Advanced knowledge of equipment troubleshooting, repair methods, and preventive maintenance.
Ability to identify root causes, develop long-term solutions, and lead reliability improvements.
Proven ability to train and mentor other maintenance technicians.
Strong collaboration skills for working with engineering, quality, operations, contractors, and vendors.
Ability to prioritize complex work and make sound decisions with minimal supervision.
No specific degree or formal education credential is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant mechanical, electrical, or multi-skill trade certification or license.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role involves standing, walking, bending, climbing, and reaching for extended periods, potentially up to 12 hours.
Employees in this role frequently lift, carry, push, or pull materials, tools, and small parts weighing up to 50 pounds.
The position requires manual dexterity for handling tools and materials and visual acuity for reading gauges and manuals and completing detailed inspections.
Work may take place in noisy, hot, or confined spaces.
Consistent use of required personal protective equipment is expected.
