Join our team as an Electrician—install, test, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing environment. 5+ years' experience required. Onsite in Farmington Hills, MI.

Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus and fixtures.

Position Type: Full-Time/Hourly (Non-Exempt)
Work Location: Onsite – Farmington Hills, MI 48335
Key Responsibilities:
Use hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components and isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment
Replace faulty switches, sockets and other elements of electrical systems
Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes and armatures
Mount motors, transformers and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications
Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Inspect completed work for conformance with requirements of local building and safety codes
Estimate time and material costs on electrical projects
Requisition new electrical supplies and equipment
Read and interpret blue-prints or electrical schematics and has knowledge of the National Electric Code
Complete all necessary documents fully and accurately
Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)
Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to lift/move heavy objects

Qualifications:
Perform work under direct supervision
Handle basic issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff
Possess beginning working knowledge of subject matter
Require accreditation from a technical school or applicable skilled trades program and 5+ years of experience
