The EHS Generalist plays a pivotal role in MacLean-Fogg’s Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team, contributing to the development and execution of our safety strategy and goals. This position offers a unique opportunity to actively shape and implement world-class EHS systems as we work toward achieving Mission Zero. The EHS Generalist assists in the creation of safety systems, drives compliance, supports continuous improvement in safety performance, and helps maintain a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace.
Key Responsibilities
Assists the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager in the overall EHS process implementation.
Assists in developing systems to drive compliance, continuous injury reduction and environmental performance.
Conducts daily safety and environmental audits, as well as informal walkthroughs on the production floor for general safety questions, ideas, and to ensure compliance.
Maintains required EHS recordkeeping, training, and scheduling of training.
Maintains working knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and identify all requirements that apply or may apply to the organization.
Assists the EHS Manager with compliance with all OSHA/EPA Federal and State Regulations and supports compliance of ISO-14001 and 45001 certifications pertaining to company operations.
Assists in the review of EHS policies, conducts hazard and risk assessments towards the identification and mitigation of risks.
Assists in the development, review and conducts EHS related training.
Assists in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and action item closure tracking.
Demonstrates knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety Management Systems.
Participate in continuing professional education, staying current and competent in the respective EHS profession.
Perform all other duties assigned.

Qualifications (Required)
Education: Bachelor's
Experience: At least 0 to 2 years of experience in environmental, health & safety or related field within a lean manufacturing environment.
